You’re looking for small group activities in St. Louis. Planning small group outings can be a pain, but it doesn’t have to be. With a little research and knowledge of your small group’s interests, you’ll find the perfect place to have a little fun together outside of the office, your home, or common public space.
Our top small group activities in St. Louis list are based on groups that we serve at Mastermind Room Escape. Company outings are plentiful around here, as are small groups like bachelorette/bachelor, sports teams, and friend groups. We’ve learned a few things by working with groups and thought that we would share what we’ve learned.
Small groups like fun activities where interaction isn’t forced. If everyone learns something new along the way, that’s a lovely bonus, but it’s about spending time together doing something fun. Plus, it’s essential to be in a space where everyone can easily hear each other.
The Best Small Group Activities in St. Louis List
#1 Mastermind Room Escape
Mastermind Room Escape is the #1 ranked escape room on TripAdvisor. So many escape rooms say they are number one, but we really are, and you can check out our reviews on this family fun and entertainment listing on TripAdvisor. With two locations, downtown St. Louis and St. Charles, we’re always close to the start of your small group adventure.
At Mastermind, you can expect to attempt to solve a series of clues. Once all the clues are, answered, and your room objective is met, you escape the room! No, you’re not really locked in. We even have head-to-head competition rooms for groups between 15 - 20 people.
#2 St. Louis Science Center
The St. Louis Science Center is recognized as one of the top science centers in the U.S. Currently, there is a Da Vinci Exhibit running (until April 19, 2020). You could check out the exhibit before or after you try the Da Vinci escape room at Mastermind Room Escape.
It’s not every day that you get to experience Da Vinci in a science center and have fun solving clues in Da Vinci’s Workshop!
#3 City Museum
Ranked as an outstanding experience on TripExperts, City Museum offers a feast for the eyes. Professional and amateur artists come together to create an evergrowing warehouse. Believe us, being in an old warehouse isn’t going to matter to you as you experience hippos, a skateless park, and hundreds of unique handmade sculptures and artistic displays.
Similar to Mastermind Room Escape, this is an experience with venue rental options for company outings. Enjoy the unexpected at City Museum.
#4 Missouri History Museum
If your group likes learning, then a visit to the Missouri History Museum is a good idea. Originally built as the first national monument to Thomas Jefferson, the Missouri History Museum looks at the history of St. Louis from its founding in 1764 up to the present day.
Depending on the current exhibit, you can see Pulitizer Prize-winning photos or learn about the Underground Railroad in the St. Louis area. You can search through local maps dating back to the early 1800s. Or you can grab a bite to eat at the cafe and enjoy the views of Forest Park.
We hear how amazing the museum is from our customers because, at Mastermind, we provide an immersive experience and a different way to have fun for small groups.
What do all of these small group activities have in common? They are fun, really fun, for everyone in your group. Think of the thrill of going on a field trip when you were in elementary school, company outings, and small group activities that can bring that thrilling feeling back to your life.
